Opening Reception: June 18: 6-8 pm

NeziroÄŸlu transforms the traditional art of kilim weaving, one of Anatolia's oldest known arts, by adapting it to plastic arts, creating a unique technique of his own. Introducing a new interpretation to the classic weaving tradition with the innovative use of fishing line material, the artist harmoniously merges the traditional with the contemporary through his patented weaving technique.

In the exclusive "Inner Sea" exhibition, comprising works created solely for Anna Laudel Bodrum, the artist presents four large carpets referencing the Turkish Knot, known as the first Turkish carpet originating from the Pazırık Burial Mound. These large carpets, adorned with flowing fish weavings and softened corners, are complemented by an embroidered aquarium and an interactive fish figure immersed in water, offering visitors a captivating experience.

Additionally, as a dancer, NeziroÄŸlu's performance of light and movement dancing within water will be showcased in video format as part of the "Inner Sea" exhibition, which can be visited at Anna Laudel Bodrum until July 31, 2022.
