Inspired by the ancient Anatolian shepherd’s cloak, the kepenek, this jacket is crafted entirely from handwoven hemp. Running down the centre back like a spine, a long vertical column of handmade Gaziantep embroidery — known as beyaz iş, or whitework — forms the garment’s living soul. At the front, handmade lace frames the armholes with quiet precision: the finest craftsmanship, tucked away where only the most attentive eye will find it.

Cut from handwoven cotton, this jacket is framed across the shoulders and back with handmade Gaziantep whitework embroidery. The scalloped neckline presents the craftsmanship as though it were on display, whilst the restraint of the cut allows the needlework to speak for itself. The same talisman brooch appears here too — a shared intention, protecting you both at once.
