“Two Men, Two Methods” — A Double Act in White
This began with a single fiskos table doily — the kind found in Anatolian homes, crocheted over months, then laid flat beneath a tea glass and largely forgotten. Here, it has been used whole and uncut, draping from shoulder to back to create a second layer that moves with the body. Folded up, it becomes a hood — a veil of sorts, one that casts its intricate pattern across the face like light through a latticed window.
Beneath it, a completely different logic: a structured shirt in handwoven cotton, zip-fastened at the front with a single large pocket — cut on the diagonal, against every expectation.
