One of the rare treasures of our Anatolian Weaving Map, Kutnu fabric carries six centuries of tradition. This special piece is woven by our beloved master craftsman, Mekki Usta, the fifth-generation guardian of this heritage.
In this design, the limited fabric width inspired us to explore new cutting techniques, leading to a multi-panel geometric form. By applying the Anatolian wisdom of “making more out of less”—the essence of the patchwork tradition—onto a single fabric, we achieved a strikingly graphic composition.
Drawing inspiration from the silhouettes encountered during our journeys across Anatolia, we created a contemporary expression of timeless attire.
