I'm part of everything, everyone has a part of me
I'm not a follower of any path, no slave to any teaching. I'm avare that as I breathe, I inhale to knowledge that others breathe out. When I say that we are connected to each other by invisible nets I know that we are bonded by breath.
"Fırat Neziroglu duplicatesand ceremonializes the causality of a current form, using a weaving technique"
Mürteza Fidan, T. Melih Görgün
"Fırat Neziroglu depicts a very profane view of a peeing boy in life-size portrait. Althought hand-woven rug seems modest it becomes quiet challenging within a steril gallery spaces. While critical in white cube wich symbolizes the elitist art, it removes the binaries of life/art and in/out."
Simona Vidmar, Derya Yücel
Euphrates (Fırat)… The Latin word expressing the river by its foolhardy, frenetic character… In the fabric design; rich and fertile land, splendor, power and enthusiasm are the themes; and the landscapes of the river Euphrates between the reality and illusion are portrayed. On the ancient tablets, the river is depicted as “the light reflecting to the eyes of the beloved in the daytime; the let down black hair of the beloved by the night…”. These mystic fabrics which reflect the unique culture of us, found themselves by searching texture and form; and a little comment on “reflections of tradition to textile art and the design of the future” is added. The fiber art and weaving design are kneaded together and presented as an offer to wearable art.
